RELAY CONVERSION PACKAGES | REPLACEMENT PENDANTS
The LM7 Electrical Relay Conversion Package was originally developed to allow the removal of obsolete Numerical Control systems on machines that are not good candidates for CNC retrofit. This package allows the machine to operate in the same manner as the ‘power shift’ manual machines of the same period of construction. In later years, we expanded the product line to allow for the replacement and elimination of worn out and malfunctioning relays on Lucas models that were already manual machines. The proprietary software can greatly extend your machine’s service life while reducing downtime.

As you can see, most of the control system has been replaced with modern sold-state technology that is far less prone to wear and should, therefore, result in much less downtime.
In addition, each LM-7 is equipped with ‘Trouble-Shooting’ lights to assist with problem diagnosis and fused outputs to prevent damage to the LM-7 in the event of ‘shorts’ on the machine tool.
LUCAS - NEW PENDANT CONTROL STATIONS
Due to the complete unavailability of the old style ‘turn/ tilt’ switches used extensively in Lucas 41B, 42B and other models and for which there are no commercial substitutes, Lucas Precision has engineered a complete replacement Operator Pendant with a 30-foot pre-attached cable that completely removes the need for these obsolete switches.
The pre-attached cable allows ease of installation and simple connection to your relay panel resulting in greatly lowered costs of maintenance as well as increased ‘uptime’ for your machine. If your machine requires more than a 30-foot cable, please let us know at time of order. New pendants are often installed simultaneously with a relay conversion package.
Lucas Replacement Operator Pendants are equipped with the same ‘pull-on’ ‘slap off’ operation of the earlier pendant designs so that - in hurried or panic situations - your operator will be able to rapidly stop the machine with the same ‘time-tested’ motions to which he has been accustomed. In addition, since we have created the new pendants to use modern, commercial switches as much as possible in our new design, replacement of individual switches is more rapid and less costly than the replacement of the old ‘turn-tilt’ switches.
