What is a "Remanufactured" machine

NATCO/Carlton not only builds new Multi-Spindle and Radial Arm Drilling Machines, but we also remanufacture the old units in the field.
We either take the customers unit or we purchase a used unit and do the following:

RADIAL DRILL

  1. Completely disassemble, drain and clean the machine. Inspect parts for replacement or rework.
  2. Regrind the outer column.
  3. Rebore the arm barrel and install non-metallic liners which are bored to suit the reground column.
  4. Remanufacture arm as necessary and scrape it for bearing as on a new one.
  5. Replace bearing, gears, shifters, "O" rings, wipers, etc. as required.
  6. Replace or rebuild hydraulic and lubrication pumps.
  7. Repair or replace spindle and spindle sleeve assembly.
  8. Replace elevating screw and nut assembly.
  9. Scrape arm to match head and adjust roller bearings and head clamp.
  10. Replace electrical cabinet and hardware.
  11. Replace electrical, swivel, switches and wiring as required.
  12. Rebuild electric motors.
  13. Retrofit machine with automatic arm lubrication system.
  14. Install OSHA approved guarding for backshaft and main drive motor coupling. Solid handwheel for power head traverse.
  15. Machine will be reassembled and inspected to new machine specifications.
  16. Prepare and paint as a new machine before shipment.

MULTI-SPINDLE DRILL

  1. Clean an inspect machine for structural defects.
  2. Cycle machines to evaluate all functions.
  3. Completely disassemble, drain and clean the units. Inspect parts for replacement or rework condition.
  4. Rebuild hydraulic cylinder.
  5. Rebuild hydraulic system or retrofit older machines with external power unit if desired.
  6. Rebuild head and neck assemblies with all new bearings, "O" rings and seals. Gears, upper joints and other components will be replaced as required to restore to like-new condition.
  7. Replace electrical cabinet, hardware and wiring or convert to P.L.C. controls if desired. Update to current safety standards.
  8. Refit all clamps and gibs.
  9. Cycle test machine applying all quality assurance checks.
  10. Clean and paint machine before shipment.
